İstanbul Nişantaşı University is a foundation university located in Maslak, at the heart of Istanbul's business world, providing education at NeoTech Campus with 106,000 m² of indoor space. Yes. İstanbul Nişantaşı University is approved and supervised by YÖK (Yükseköğretim Kurulu — the Council of Higher Education, Turkey's national regulator for universities). It has also completed Institutional Accreditation by YÖKAK (the Higher Education Quality Council), which only a portion of universities in Turkey have achieved. If you hold a non-Turkish citizenship or completed your secondary education abroad, you apply directly to the university as an international student — you do not sit Turkey's national YKS placement exam. The process is: submit the online application form with your documents, receive your assessment and scholarship offer from an admissions advisor, accept your place and pay the deposit, receive your acceptance letter, then apply for your student visa. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis rather than in a single national round.

Admission is based on your high school results, and we also accept a range of international and national qualifications — among them SAT, YÖS, A-Levels, the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Tawjihi, Konkur and other recognised national school-leaving exams. Requirements differ by programme, and competitive programmes such as Medicine and Dentistry have higher thresholds. Yes — every student who completed high school outside Turkey needs a Denklik Belgesi, an equivalency certificate confirming that your diploma corresponds to a Turkish high school diploma. It is issued by the Turkish Ministry of National Education or by a Turkish embassy or consulate in your own country, and it is required to complete final enrollment. You can begin your application before obtaining it; our international office guides you through the paperwork.

For English-medium programmes you need to pass our English proficiency exam or present an accepted certificate such as IELTS or TOEFL at the required level; if you do not, you complete the one-year English preparatory programme, which runs under a Cambridge agreement and holds EAQUALS accreditation. For Turkish-medium programmes you need documented Turkish proficiency, or you complete a Turkish preparatory year (TÖMER or an accepted equivalent). Ask your advisor for the exact score required by your programme.

Once your place is confirmed we issue an acceptance letter, which you use to apply for a student visa at the Turkish embassy or consulate in your country — enter Turkey on that visa, not as a tourist. After you arrive and complete enrollment, you apply for a student residence permit (ikamet) through the Presidency of Migration Management, normally within the first weeks of your stay. Our International Student Office prepares the supporting documents and helps you through both steps.

International tuition is quoted per academic year and can be paid by international bank transfer to the university account, as well as by card for some payment types; instalment plans are available. Fees for international programmes may be quoted in foreign currency — your advisor confirms the currency, the exact amount and the payment schedule in writing before you transfer anything. Always pay into the official university account named on your offer, never to an individual.

Yes. Health insurance is required for your residence permit. International students may enrol in Turkey's public health insurance scheme (SGK) within the first months after receiving their first student residence permit, or take out private health insurance instead. In departments such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Management Information Systems, artificial intelligence is one of the core components of the program. The School of Civil Aviation trains professionals for the industry with its Air Traffic Control, Aviation Electrics and Electronics, Pilot Training (in English), and Aircraft Maintenance and Repair programs. The Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences offers an Aviation Management program, and an English-language education option is also available. At the School of Civil Aviation, the program — supported by simulator training of a scope and capability found in very few universities and by extensive industry collaborations — prepares its graduates for the aviation sector. The Fixed Tuition Guarantee means that the fee for the year you enroll will not change throughout your education. Students who complete the early enrollment renewal process in January each year, by signing a mutual protocol within the determined dates and conditions, are not subject to any fee increase throughout their studies. This way, you or your family can plan your budget 4 years in advance.

The student shall be subject to the tuition fee determined annually by the University throughout their program. Students who renew their financial registration by 31 March each year shall pay the previous year’s tuition fee. Students who renew their financial registration after this date shall pay the tuition fee determined by the University.

Under Turkish regulations you need a separate work permit, and undergraduate students may generally apply only after completing their first year, for part-time work.
