Residence Application Form
You can obtain it from https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/
- If you do not have an ID before or you are coming from a different university, you must apply through the First Application screen.
- If you have a short-term ID, you must apply through the Transfer Application screen.
- If you have a work permit, you must also apply through the Transfer Application screen.

Documents to Be Obtained from the University
- Student Certificate (Öğrenci Belgesi)

Identification Documents
- Photocopy of your ID card and passport.
- Photocopy of the last entry stamp to Turkey in your passport.
- 4 biometric photographs (50 mm × 60 mm).

Address Documents
Provide one of the following:
- Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi with a QR code obtained from e-Devlet.
- Rental contract.
- Dormitory document: A wet-signed document proving that the student is staying in the dormitory. A signature circular and tax certificate are also required.
- Commitment (Taahhütname): Additional documents are required if you are staying under someone else's commitment.
Additional Documents for Commitment (Taahhütname)
- If the person making the commitment is Turkish and married, both spouses must sign the commitment.
- A photocopy of the committing person's Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi with QR code and their ID card.
- If the committing person is Turkish, a QR-coded Nüfus Kayıt Örneği from e-Devlet.
- Original water, electricity, and gas bills (one of each) are accepted; photocopies are not accepted. If the bills are paid by the site management, a wet-signed fee statement is required.

Private Health Insurance
- Must be obtained through the university.

Tax Payment
- 964 TL
- Can be paid through the tax office.
- You can also pay through the Immigration Residence Permit Fee Payment section of https://dijital.gib.gov.tr/
- A PDF copy of the payment receipt is required.

UETS Certificate (İkamet renewal)
- Students who do not have a UETS account must obtain one from PTT.
- Students who already have a UETS account can obtain it through e-devlet.

Important Notes
- To maintain an active student status, student must be officially registered, complete course selection, and meet attendance requirements.
- Staying in Türkiye with an expired visa or beyond the permitted period may result in fines or other legal consequences.
- Any change of address must be reported to the relevant authorities without delay.
- Under the new regulations effective from 29 November 2023, students are required to provide fingerprints after completing the online residence permit application. The fingerprint reference number, along with a valid email address and phone number, must be included in the application.
- Students transferring from another institution must complete their withdrawal process from their previous university before applying.
- Please note that İstanbul Nişantaşı University cannot be held responsible for residence permit rejections or decisions made by the immigration authorities.
Address Documentation
Applicants must provide one of the following documents as proof of address:
- Residence Certificate (Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi): Obtained through e-Devlet and issued within the last 7 days.
- Undertaking Letter (Taahhütname): Required if the student does not have a registered address.
If the sponsor is a Turkish citizen, the following documents must be provided:
- Residence Certificate (Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi)
- Population Registration Record (Nüfus Kayıt Örneği)
- A recent utility bill
If the sponsor is married, both spouses must sign the undertaking.
If the sponsor is a foreign national, the following documents are required:
- Residence Certificate obtained from e-Devlet
- A recent utility bill
- Notarized Rental Agreement: The student's name must be clearly stated as a tenant in the contract.
- Dormitory Accommodation Letter: A signed confirmation letter from the dormitory, together with the dormitory's tax certificate and signature circular, must be submitted.
